Fort Chipewyan Community Education Authority Council (FCCEAC) is inviting proposals for two contract opportunities supporting the exploration of a community-led Indigenous public education authority in Fort Chipewyan.
This work is part of a partnership between Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN), Fort Chipewyan Métis Nation (FCMN), Mikisew Cree First Nation (MCFN), and the Government of Alberta.
1. Project Manager – FCCEAC
FCCEAC is seeking a qualified contractor to provide project management and coordination services.
This role will support the completion of a Business Case and Financial/Operational Feasibility Study, including coordination between partners, consultants, and community engagement activities.
Key Details:
- Contract term: Until December 31, 2026
- Compensation: Approximately $50,000 (negotiated)
- Location: Fort Chipewyan (flexible, with some remote work possible)

2. Business Case Consultant – FCCEAC
FCCEAC is seeking a qualified contractor to develop a Business Case supporting the potential creation of a community-led education authority.
This work will include assessing current education systems, identifying gaps, engaging with the community, and proposing a future governance model aligned with community priorities.
