Fort Chip Métis Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer Matthew Michetti

Fort Chipewyan, AB (January 20, 2023) – The Fort Chipewyan Métis Nation is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Michetti as their new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Michetti brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position, having previously served as Assistant Band Manager for Chipewyan Prairie First Nation where he was primarily responsible for on-reserve civil and commercial construction projects and economic development.

Mr. Michetti brings a long history of volunteering and community involvement to the position, including working as a group facilitator at the annual Métis Fest and as a volunteer at the Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre.

With experience in communication, project management, government relations and strategic planning, Mr. Michetti will provide valuable insights and leadership in his new position as COO.
