Fort Chip Métis Nation

Fort Chipewyan Métis Local 125 releases monthly newsletters which are produced in the office by staff members, and some submissions are added from community organizations. These monthly issues update the members on community functions, updates on the office and any events coming up in the same month.

Métis days have been created, this has become an annual event which began in 2009 as the first annual Métis Days. The events are hosted by Fort Chipewyan Métis Local 125, with the assistance of donations from oil sands corporations and other organizations, the focus of Métis Days is culture and tradition. The annual event starts off with a fish fry, jigging contest and traditional dress, the following day has dry fish making and bannock making on a stick for those who would like to learn the process. Is now planned around treaty days.

Fort Chipewyan Métis Local 125 also has an annual Christmas Dinner for all their members, this is planned for early December.
